A reported car bomb has rocked a police checkpoint in the town of Cizre in southeast Turkey. There were no immediate details on casualties, but ambulances were sent to the scene, according to channel NTV.
Footage showed large plumes of smoke billowing from the site. Cizre is located in Sirnak, a province that borders both Syria and Iraq and has a largely Kurdish population. There are unconfirmed reports three police officers were killed in the attack.
